Weekly Weight Wednesday - 2

I have good news and bad news. Which do you want first?

I'll just start with the bad. I have consumed exactly ZERO cereal in the last two days. That's right. Days 13,14 - and likely 15 (today) are cerealless. (I believe I just invented a word).

This cold, or whatever it is has taken away my appetite, and when I do have a small one, cereal and milk just DO NOT sound appetizing. So, I won't report my entire menu, since it included no cereal. But, rest knowing that it is is minimal and the last two days can pretty much be summed up with Diet Dr. Pepper, a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream and a frozen burrito.

The GOOD news is, I'm in Richmond again and at the same scale I weighed in with last week. So, this is a firm number, not a guesstimate. I'm down 5 pounds from last week. That's right. 5. I know... I know... it's from being sick and not eating. It will return. Let me just be happy for a little bit. Besides being able to lay in bed and watch hours of Rick Steves in Europe on Hulu, it's the only good thing to come out of this cough.

I need your vote. I'm thinking of tacking on the days missed while being sick to the end (so I still have 30 days of cereal, even though the span of time will be greater). Your thoughts? Do you think that is fair? Please comment.

  1. You can do it, Melissa! :) Unless you're a glutton for punishment, I don't think you have to tag the cereal days on at the end--it's not like you have to make up sick days from a job, you know? Just my 2 cents.

  2. Good job on the 5 pounds! Hmmm...being sick got you off a few days but I think if you're enjoying the cereal why not stay tack on a few more days? It's not fair that you got sick, but if you feel like you're okay with a few more days of cereal and aren't sick of it, you could add on a few days.

  3. Five pounds in one week is AWESOME!! And just b/c part of that might have been a result of being sick doesn't mean it won't stay off. You're showing tremendous discipline in your quest--keep it up!

PS I say chalk the 2 or 3 missed days up to "life happens" and don't worry about making them up.
